Celebrate Megan's 50th Birthday!

My brain and body do not believe it but the calendar tells me that on December 1, 2025, I will turn 50 years old. In that half century, I’ve lived a very intentional life that stems from the seeds planted (either intentionally or unintentionally, I’m not sure) by my parents. So, I would like to turn this milestone birthday into a way to contribute further to a cause I truly believe in.

Environmental protection requires many tools and strategies. Cutting edge environmental protection requires leaders who are willing to take risks and set precedents. In my time at OHM, we have achieved landmark legal victories, set legal precedents, and established new case law that will help future Georgians protect their rights.

This work took strategic minds, courage, and resources.

For my birthday this year, I’m asking for contributions to the One Hundred Miles Legal Reserve Fund. This is a fund that exists to be used as a last resort to hire a team of legal experts who are willing to assume the risks of pushing legal boundaries and testing new legal strategies that may protect community and natural resources in new and innovative ways.

I’m so very proud of One Hundred Miles, and I’m most proud that the results of our work make progress toward our mission AND improve democracy for Georgians across our state. Contributions to the Legal Reserve Fund will help ensure that this work will continue to do so into the future.
